MEMBERSHIP COURSE

Are you looking for a church family that’s real, relevant and realistic? Our Membership Course is just for YOU!

God’s heart is to see His local church flourish. He wants you to be planted in a church family where you can live out your full potential and destiny in Him.

Our Membership Course are for those who would like to know more about our church family. It’s an evening course and we will look at the 4 “S” of Paarl Family Church.

They are:

1. Salvation
2. Statements
3. Strategy
4. Structure
5. Affiliation
What has God done for us.
Why we exist as a church.
How we fulfil our purpose as a church.
Where & when we fulfil our purpose.
Who we relate to. (our covering body)

We believe in the Biblical principles of “family”. Within natural family units there are levels of accountability and integrity. We believe that in order to be more effective in this world we need to partner with, and walk in accountability to a covering body. At our Membership course, you will learn more about PFC’s covering body, Church of the Nations (COTN).

MATURITY COURSE

Our goal as Christians is to become more like Jesus. For this to happen, we must grow spiritually and become mature disciples. The word “disciple” means “disciplined one” and we must discipline ourselves in His ways.

Our Maturity Course aims to help you develop spiritual “habits” that will encourage you to maturity in Christ.

The Bible teaches in Colossians 4:12, “that you may become mature Christians & may fulfil God’s will for you.”

Some of the “habits” we will be looking at are :

1.  The Habit of daily time with God.
2.  The Habit of prayer : Talking with God.
3.  The Habit of tithing : Giving back to God.
4.  The Habit of fellowship : Enjoying God’s family.
5.  Your identity in Christ.

MINISTRY COURSE

We are not only saved so that we can go to heaven. We have been saved to that God can equip us to become effective Christians on earth.

That’s what “ministry” is - meeting needs with love - and it’s God’s heart that we use the gifts and talents that He has given us to serve others.

In this course we will look at your SHAPE

1.  S = Spiritual Gifts
2.  H = Heart Motive
3.  A = Abilities
4.  P = Personality
5.  E = Experiences

All the above areas make up “who you are”. It’s great to know that God has a definite plan for your life and the major key in walking in your destiny is to serve others.

IGNITE: BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

To accomplish the work of extending the Kingdom of God on earth, believers need the divine empowering of the Holy Spirit. (Baptism of the Holy Spirit)

IGNITE is a one evening course which explains the importance of baptism in the Holy Spirit. We look at the Biblical account of what happened in the “upper room”.

We also discuss the manifestation that occurs once you’ve been baptized, namely speaking in tongues.

If you have ever had a desire to be baptized in the power of the Holy Spirit or you would like to find out more about this baptism, then this is the course for you.

HEBREWS 6: FOUNDATIONS

Your “spiritual” walk is like building a house - you need a solid foundation. In our Foundations Course we will be covering the foundational doctrines found in Hebrews 6.

These include:

1.  Repentance from Dead Works.
2.  Faith towards God.
3.  The Baptisms.
4.  The Laying on of Hands.
5.  Resurrection of the Dead.
6.  Eternal Judgement.

This course will not only “build” you up as a Christian, but also give you sound Biblical knowledge when speaking to unbelievers about the basic doctrines of Christianity.

KINGDOM FINANCES

When someone mentions “finances” in a church, the response can sometimes be negative. This is largely due to the fact that many sermons about finances only deal with “tithes and offerings”.

God wants you to experience financial freedom and the Bible gives us great economic principles to help us build of lifestyle of stewardship.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 8:18 that “it is God who gives us the ability to generate wealth.” This wealth is not only for self consumption, but to extend the Kingdom of God on earth.

The topics covered in this course include:

1.  Understanding the Kingdom of God. (overview)
2.  Understanding Kingdom finances.
3.  Understanding the power of money.
4.  Biblical uses of money.
5.  Dealing with Debt.
